Tara & Scott Segin
With a degree in Interior Design, Tara Segin began her career in retail sales of cabinetry. She had an eye for design, but could only do so much to help customers on the sales floor. Her husband, Scott, was an expert cabinetry installer. When an opportunity arose for the couple to apply their talents and acumen to flipping houses in Pinellas County in 2003, the outcome of their creativity and hard work left family and friends remarking about their homes’ wow factor. These comments planted a seed that in 2015 bloomed into HRP Kitchens & Baths.
In a typically male-dominated field, HRP Kitchens & Baths is woman-operated. Tara is the designer creating a three-dimension CAD view drawings of her client’s dream kitchen, bath, laundry room, and office. Scott takes her computer sketches and transforms them into reality. If the customer wants something that isn’t available in their extensive catalog of products, Scott has the decades of experience and skills to custom build cabinetry to client specifications.
Tara’s customers love that she takes the time to consult with them conveniently at their home, to get a feel for what they are renovating or adding in their home. If a client seems overwhelmed by all the possibilities, she will walk them through the process – from showing a color wheel to select their palette preference, helping them pick out their tiles for the wall, selecting countertop patterns and color, to choosing paint colors.
Tara and Scott take pride in applying a personal touch to every project, giving their clients something unique, original to them, and definitely not boring. Tara’s gift of interior design melds exceptionally well with Scott’s incredible woodwork. They love the satisfaction of helping their clients in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties find the cabinetry design that both fits their lifestyle and showcases their personal style, and neither looks cookie-cutter nor like their neighbors.
